The waters around these islands in the Krabi archipelago are so shallow that white sandbars can be seen everywhere at low tide - making it easy to walk from one island to another. Even Chicken Island or Koh Kai are within walking distance. Of course, if you're too lazy to walk, you can also swim ... which is worth it, because snorkeling is rewarded with a clear view of the lively underwater world.
Those who are fed up with walking on the seabed can also climb to the top of Koh Tup for stunning views of the surrounding islands.
Krabi's popularity still lags far behind Phuket's popularity - and that's why it's growing in popularity, as it still has that original, more natural and local vibe and a wealth of idyllic islands to rival those around Phuket.
A cruise off the coast of Krabi through the sparkling, azure Andaman Sea reveals stunning, secluded islands perfect for snorkeling, diving, canoeing, exploring, or just lounging. Some are little more than sandbanks or Rocks, others are home to a variety of tropical flora and fauna, as well as beautiful lagoons teeming with marine life.
